What happens when you submit your referral?
Screening
An Alternaleaf nurse will contact your patient within 24 hours. During this 20-minute call, the nurse will discuss the patient's symptoms and medical history to make a preliminary assessment about the suitability of plant medicine care. The patient will also have the opportunity to voice any questions or concerns.
Consultation
Your patient will then book a telehealth appointment with an Alternaleaf doctor. The doctor will devise a treatment plan and prescribe medication that best matches the patient's condition and experience.
Follow-up care
Your patient's Alternaleaf doctor will schedule their first follow-up appointment for around 8 weeks to discuss how they've responded to treatment and any concerns they may have. Further follow-ups can be booked through an easy-to-use patient portal. You will continue to receive progress reports throughout their time as an Alternaleaf patient.
